Masterson’s Tavern , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I found behind its walls was disturbing and far below any standard .

The Condition of the Premises : Squalid and Neglected

The floors were sticky , and a pungent odor of stale beer and neglected washrooms filled the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of urine , putrefaction and sour vomit . The restroom was in even worse condition — backed up, with a cracked flush mechanism and walls stained in what I can only assume was fecal matter .
